Who we are
Neometa (“we”, “us”) is a UK digital agency providing SEO, web design and automation services. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at info@neometa.uk.
What we collect
When you use the contact form. Your name, email address, the service area you select, and whatever you write in the message field. Only the message field is open text, so please avoid including anything sensitive you would not want held in an email inbox.
When you email or message us. Your contact details and the contents of your message, along with any later correspondence.
When you browse the site. If you accept analytics cookies, we collect pages viewed, approximate location at country or region level, device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and which links you clicked. If you decline, none of this is collected. See the cookie policy for the detail.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, as a normal part of running and securing the site.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
To respond to enquiries and provide services — on the basis of legitimate interests, or of taking steps to enter into a contract where you are asking us to quote for work.
To understand how the site is used — on the basis of your consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.
To keep records of work and payments — on the basis of our legal obligations, principally tax and accounting law.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party services that process personal data on our behalf:
- Web3Forms — delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
- Google Analytics — website analytics, only where you have accepted analytics cookies.
- Microsoft Clarity — records how pages are used, including mouse movement and clicks, only where you have accepted analytics cookies.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics — website analytics, only where you have accepted analytics cookies.
- Vercel — hosts the site and keeps server logs.
- Google Workspace / Gmail — holds our email correspondence.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, it is covered by the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses, depending on the provider.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years, so we have context if you come back to us. Records relating to clients and payments are kept for six years after the end of the relationship, as tax law requires. Analytics data is retained for fourteen months.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- ask us to delete data, where there is no overriding reason to keep it
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
- ask us to transfer it to another provider
- withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on
To exercise any of these, email info@neometa.uk. We will respond within one month.
You can withdraw analytics consent yourself at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings, which removes the stored preference and brings the banner back.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when our processing changes, and will revise the date at the top. Where a change is significant, we will ask for fresh consent rather than rely on the old one.
